for many of us, the Int’l Day of Peace was a day for dreaming, for fun, for music and connection, for sharing our hearts, our excitement, imagining possibility. for some it was a day like any other, rushing to work, stressing to get to all that must be done in a busy life. and for some, it was a day of miraculous hope, as the gunfire ceased, the bombings lessened, and a child could finally get medical attention, families  be united, food dropped to those in need…

i have been blessed with a daily life without war. there is so much in the world that i do not understand, that i cannot begin to imagine how it would feel or what a solution might be. but i can learn to listen to my own balance, and create that peace in my own life that i would want to give to someone else. and then send those ripples out to be felt by the rest of my human family…

and i can connect with others who have a similar concern and wish for peace in the world. i can listen, learn, share, join in – offer what it is that i have to offer to the mix. we are all needed as we move forward, we all have a place.
